Welcoming a new baby marks one of the most meaningful chapters in your family’s story. While the days may feel long, this season passes quickly. My role is to capture the emotion, connection, and love that define these early moments.

From the session experience to the finished artwork, every detail is handled with care so the process feels seamless and meaningful for your family.

The Experience

01. CONSULTATION

We start with a planning meeting or phone call to bring your story to life. From choosing a studio session or in-home lifestyle session to styling in a beautiful way that will still feel classic in 20 years, you can rely on my years of experience documenting thousands of family stories.

02. GUIDANCE

After the initial call, you will receive a questionnaire that helps me prepare for your session and I will send you prep guides and information leading up to our session.

03. THE SESSION

During the session, I pour my heart into ensuring you feel comfortable in front of my camera. I will encourage you to just enjoy the time with your family and let me work my magic.

04. ARTWORK

After the session, we will meet in person for the reveal of portraits. At this time you will get to decide how to use your images to create family heirlooms.

LIFESTYLE & STUDIO

A Custom, Luxury Portrait Experience

Your newborn session is designed to tell your family’s story in this season.

You can choose between a session in my Forest, Virginia studio in a thoughtfully designed environment focused on comfort and connection or opt for a lifestyle session in your home, capturing your family in the space where your story is unfolding. The focus of lifestyle sessions are the interaction between the new baby and his/her family and surroundings rather than getting the perfect pose. For this reason, lifestyle sessions always include parents and/or siblings.

Both options are thoughtfully guided and designed to feel natural, connected, and to create beautiful images. Many families opt for both studio and in-home lifestyle portraits to capture both sides of their baby’s story.

Before Your Newborn Session: Preparing With Ease

Before your session, you will receive a detailed Newborn Prep Guide that covers everything you need to feel confident and prepared, including:

  • How to prepare your baby for the session

  • What to expect the day of your session

  • Tips for feeding, timing, and flexibility

  • A What to Wear guide with outfit inspiration for parents and siblings

My goal is to remove stress and decision fatigue so you can simply show up and enjoy the experience.

Investment Details

Newborn Portrait Session Creative Fee is $199. The creative fee reserves your date, covers planning and time during your session, and preparation of your images for your viewing appointment.

Photographs and artwork are purchased separately during your viewing and ordering appointment, where you’ll select the images and keepsakes that best fit your family and your home. I offer a curated selection of heirloom albums, wall art, and digital collections. This experience is designed to help you invest in photographs you’ll continue to treasure long after this season has passed.

Some parents want to book a studio and lifestyle session to capture all the details of this special time. In home lifestyle sessions can be added onto a studio session for an additional $75. Lifestyle sessions take place on a different day than your studio newborn session and are conducted in the comfort of your own home.

There is no additional charge for parent & sibling photographs with your newborn. These images are some of the most meaningful parts of the gallery. As a mom myself, I know how treasured these photographs become over time. I strongly encourage everyone to be part of the session.

During Your Session

Sessions are intentionally unhurried and baby-led. There is time for feeding, soothing, cuddling, and breaks as needed. You can expect guidance with posing, a calm environment, natural moments mixed with beautifully styled portraits, and an experience that feels personal.

After Your Session

After your session, you’ll return for a viewing and ordering appointment where we’ll review your images together. During this appointment, you will view your images, select your favorite photographs, choose your artwork, albums, collection, and/or digital files, and receive guidance on sizing, placement, and design for your home.

I help you create heirloom pieces that are meant to be seen, held, and passed down. These are not images meant to live only on a phone or hard drive. They are part of your family’s story. Albums allow you to relive this season again and again, long after the newborn days have passed. Wall art turns your memories into daily reminders of love and connection within your home. I’ll help you choose artwork that fits your style, your home, and your legacy.

Hi, l'm Andria, and this is what matters most to me, my family. I've been married to Matthew for almost 20 years and we have four children, ages 7-26. As a mother to neurodivergent children, I bring a deep level of patience, understanding, and flexibility into every session. That lived experience has shaped the way I work, especially with families who need a little extra care, time, or support. Every family is welcomed exactly as they are.

I’ve been a professional photographer for 22 years. I started my business right out of high school, while I was 18 and in College. I started out photographing seniors, families, and weddings. Soon after, my wedding clients started calling me when they had babies. They wanted to hire me and I would refer them to a friend who specialized in newborn photography. But they insisted that I take the photographs. This happened again and again and I fell in love with newborn photography. This was Gods way of showing me my true calling as a newborn photographer. I’ve been specializing in newborns for the last 13 years and there is nothing else that I would want to do!

People often asked me what my favorite thing about newborn photography and the first answer will always be “EVERYTHING!” but the second answer would be “capturing what matters most to my clients.” There is something so special about the amount of room that a tiny baby can take up in your heart. I love getting to document the connection and emotion and absolute joy that a baby brings to a family.
