RECENT SESSIONS & MOTHERHOOD IN LYNCHBURG
Hi! I’m Andria
I love photography, branding and website design, newborn snuggles, baking, playing with my kids, and documenting what matters most. One of my favorite quotes is “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” by Mary Oliver and I try to live that out each day by noticing the beauty in ordinary days and filling my time with things that I love to do.
I started my photography journey right out of high school, 21 years ago. I am still in awe that I get to have my dream job and will never take this gift for granted.
This blog is my journal with recent sessions and information about motherhood in Lynchburg, VA. Click on any image below to view more photos and information. Thanks for stopping by!
What is the ideal age for newborn photos?

Honor - creating a relaxed, stress-free experience for families.
One of the things I love most about newborn photography is creating a relaxed, stress-free experience for families. That’s why I always offer the option to split the newborn session and family portraits into two separate sessions. This gives parents and siblings the chance to fully enjoy each moment without feeling rushed, and it allows me to capture both those fresh, sleepy newborn details and the special family connections in the most natural way.
Honor’s session was the perfect example of why I love this approach! We started with her solo newborn portraits, where she was so sweet and peaceful, snuggled up in soft blankets. But what truly melted my heart were the candid moments with her siblings. There’s something so pure about the way big brothers and sisters instinctively shower their new baby with love—gentle snuggles, forehead kisses, and tiny hands reaching out to hold her. These are the moments that tell the story of a growing family, and I feel so honored (pun intended!) to capture them.
A little while later, her family returned for their full family portraits. This second session gave them the space to focus on celebrating their newest addition together without the unpredictability of a long newborn session. The result? Genuine smiles, relaxed parents, and beautiful images that showcase their love as a family.
If you’re expecting and wondering how to create a calm, enjoyable photography experience, I’d love to chat about the best approach for your family. Whether we split the session or capture everything in one day, my goal is always to make sure you walk away with timeless images and a stress-free experience!
